Aged Receivables by Contact Report

Outstanding invoices for a single customer with overdue status. See what one customer owes and how overdue each invoice is. For every customer at once, use the Aged Receivables report.

Parameters

ParameterRequiredDescription
ContactYesSelect a customer from the searchable dropdown. This report shows invoices for a single contact.
As of DateYesPoint-in-time date for aging calculation. Recalculates overdue status but shows all invoices.
Invoice Date FilterNoRestrict which invoices appear by date range (From/To). When a From date is used, an Opening Balance row shows invoices before the filter start date.
OrganizationNoXero organization to report on.

Output

OrgID: Organization shortcode (auto-added)
OrgName: Organization name (auto-added)
Date: Invoice date
Reference: Invoice number
DueDate: Payment due date
Status: Overdue status text (e.g., "16 days overdue")
Currency: The invoice's own currency code. Home-currency invoices and the Opening Balance row show your organization's home currency
Total: Invoice total, in the invoice's currency
Paid: Amount paid, in the invoice's currency
Credited: Amount credited, in the invoice's currency
Due: Amount still due, in the invoice's currency
Due (Base Currency): Amount still due in your organization's home currency, at Xero's exchange rate for the report date. Same as Due for home-currency invoices

Customers with invoices in several currencies

If a customer has invoices in more than one currency, the table shows a mix of currencies, and the Currency column tells you which one each row is in. Total, Paid, Credited and Due are in each invoice's own currency, so don't add them up across rows. To get what the customer owes in total, add up the Due (Base Currency) column only.

Tables inserted before 25 September 2026

  • Older tables keep their original 10 columns, without Currency or Due (Base Currency). Insert the report again to get the new columns.
  • Figures for home-currency customers, and for customers invoiced in a single foreign currency, were already correct.
  • For customers with invoices in several currencies, and for a foreign-currency customer's Opening Balance row, Paid, Credited and Due could show wrong amounts (often 0). They are correct after your next refresh.

Tips

  • Focus on invoices in the Due column for collection efforts
  • The Status field shows aging in human-readable form (e.g., "16 days overdue")
  • Use the Invoice Date Filter to narrow results when a customer has many invoices
  • Cash Basis is not applicable for aged reports
  • If Xero sends the report in a layout XO Report does not recognise, you see an error instead of figures that might be wrong
