Subscription Management
View your plan, manage billing, and make changes to your subscription.
Viewing Your Plan
The Subscription card on your dashboard shows:
- Your current plan name (Solo, Lite, Pro, or Max)
- Number of organizations used out of your plan limit
- Renewal date or, if cancelling, when access ends
- Payment status warnings (if applicable)
Upgrading Your Plan
If you need more organization slots, upgrade to a higher plan. Visit the Pricing page to compare plans and select the one that fits your needs.
When you've reached your organization limit, the dashboard also shows an "Upgrade Plan" button next to the "Manage Billing" button.
Downgrading Your Plan
To downgrade to a plan with fewer organizations, open the Advanced section and click Downgrade Plan. The process has two steps:
Step 1: Select your new plan
Choose which lower plan you want to switch to. The modal shows all plans below your current one with their organization limits.
Step 2: Choose organizations to keep
If you have more connected organizations than the new plan allows, select which ones to keep. The excess organizations will be disconnected before the plan change. If your current org count already fits within the new limit, this step is skipped.
Step 3: Confirm and complete in Stripe
After confirming, excess organizations are disconnected and the Stripe billing portal opens in a new tab for you to complete the plan change.
Important:Disconnected organizations enter a 30-day cooldown. Make sure to complete the plan change in the Stripe tab that opens. If you close the Stripe tab without changing plans, your organizations will already be disconnected but you'll continue paying for the higher plan.
Cancelling Your Subscription
To cancel, open the Advanced section and click Cancel Subscription. The cancellation process has two confirmation steps to prevent accidental cancellations.
Access continues until period end
After cancelling, you retain full access to XO Report until the end of your current billing period. The exact date is shown on your subscription card.
Data is preserved
Cancelling does not delete your account or data. You can resubscribe at any time to restore access. If you want to permanently remove your data, see Account Deletion.
Collaborators are affected
All users accessing organizations through your subscription will lose access when your billing period ends.
Billing Portal
Click Manage Billing on the subscription card to open the Stripe billing portal in a new tab. From there you can:
- Update your payment method
- View and download past invoices
- Update billing information
Payment Issues
If a payment fails, your subscription card shows a Payment Past Due warning. Open the billing portal to update your payment method and resolve the issue.
Your access continues during the retry period, but will be suspended if the payment remains unresolved.
Only billing admins can manage the subscription (downgrade, cancel, manage billing). Collaborators see their access status but cannot make billing changes. Learn more about collaborator roles.
