Account Deletion
Permanently delete your XO Report account and all associated data.
Account deletion is permanent
After the 30-day cooling-off period, your account and all data are permanently deleted with no way to recover them. Make sure you no longer need access to XO Report before proceeding.
How to Delete Your Account
- Sign in to the account portal at xo-report.com/account
- Expand the Advanced section at the bottom of the dashboard
- Click Delete My Account
- Type
DELETEin the confirmation field - Click Delete My Account to confirm
What Gets Deleted
All account data
Your user profile, settings, and all stored data are permanently removed.
Xero access disconnected
XO Report disconnects your Xero access as part of the deletion request and submits any related Xero token revocation request. Formulas in spreadsheets referencing your organizations stop refreshing unless you reconnect later.
Subscription cancellation started
If you have an active subscription, the deletion request begins the cancellation process for it.
Collaborator access will be affected
Users accessing organizations through your subscription will lose access as the related billing state changes during or after the deletion process.
30-Day Cooling-Off Period
After requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day cooling-off period. During this time:
- Your account is marked for deletion but not yet removed
- You can cancel the deletion from the banner at the top of your account page — click the Cancel Deletion button to cancel the deletion request
- After 30 days without cancellation, the deletion becomes permanent and irreversible
Changed your mind? Open your account page within 30 days — a banner at the top shows your scheduled deletion date with a Cancel Deletion button that cancels the deletion request.
What cancelling does and doesn't do
Cancelling the deletion request stops the 30-day timer and keeps your account active. However, it does not automatically undo the side effects that happened when you first requested deletion:
- Xero access was disconnected when you made the request, and any related revocation request is not reversed automatically — reconnect each organisation from your account page.
- Your subscription (if it was active) may already have entered the cancellation process and is not restored automatically — treat any follow-up billing help as a separate support request.
Before You Delete
Consider these alternatives before deleting your account:
Cancel your subscription instead
If you want to stop paying but keep your account for later, cancel your subscription. Your data is preserved and you can resubscribe any time.
Downgrade your plan
If the cost is too high, downgrade to a smaller plan instead of leaving entirely.
